Poster with the painting Altarpiece No. 2 created in 1915 by Hilma af Klint - one of Sweden's most famous artists. The painting is one of a series of Temple Paintings and the inverted triangle in the painting is meant to symbolize the descent from divine unity into the diversity of the material world.

Between 1906 and 1915, Hilma af Klint created her central work, The Paintings to the Temple. The suite includes 193 paintings in different series and groups. The main idea is to convey the knowledge of the unity of everything, beyond the visible dualistic world. The temple to which the title refers did not necessarily refer to a physical building, but rather can be seen as a metaphor for spiritual development.

This is how Hilma af Klint describes the work: "The pictures were painted directly by me, without previous drawing and with great force. I had no idea what the pictures were supposed to represent and yet I worked quickly and safely, without changing a single brushstroke" .
