Anita Ekberg was the Miss Sweden winner who became an iconic movie star in Hollywood.
Ekberg had his biggest successes in Italy in films directed by Federico Fellini. She is best known for the role of Sylvia in Fellini's The Sweet Life opposite Marcello Mastroianni in 1960. There she bathes in a famous scene in the Trevi Fountain in Rome.
As one of the world's most sought-after actors, Anita Ekberg was first married to Anthony Steel and then to Rik Van Nutter.
Ekberg's great love was Gianni Agnelli, owner of Fiat and a leader in Italian business life. For several years they were a loving couple even though he was married to Princess Marella Caracciolo di Castagneto. Agneta never had any children.
