Poster with a beautifully illustrated poster for " Bjelland's brand: Finest Norwegian Sardines" . In the picture we see, among other things, that the poster advertises sardines in tomato sauce and that the company has won various medals and diplomas.
The poster was created around 1950 by Theodor Kittelsen.
As a young man, Theodor Kittelsen wanted to be a painter, but it turned out that his drawings brought him the greatest success. Through the drawings, he got an outlet for his humor and his enthusiasm for stories, fairy tales and not least the magic of nature. Kittelsen's images of Cinderella, goblins, princesses and animals have captured the imagination of generation after generation.
