Poster with the iconic poster Finland's cause is ours - For a bigger fight, join the Volunteer Corps by Fritz Rückert from 1940. This is the most famous propaganda poster of the Winter War, which called on the Swedish population to help their neighbor to the east when the Soviet Union attacked them without warning.
On November 30, 1939, Russian troops attacked Finland without a declaration of war. "In a few days we will be in Helsinki," the Russian radio announced triumphantly. But it would not be so easy for Stalin's soldiers when they met the Finnish soldiers. A three-month long cold war would claim tens of thousands of lives.

The Finnish soldiers fought bravely against the superior force - and they were not alone. Sweden donated enormous resources to Finland in the form of military equipment and credits. In addition, a total of about 8,000 brave, voluntary Swedes took part in the Finnish Winter War.
The poster Finland's cause is ours , reminds us of the Nordic war efforts during World War II and our solidarity against foreign invasion and attacks that continued throughout World War II. The poster was commissioned by the Swedish Volunteer Corps' recruitment activities to combat the Soviet Union's war.
