Poster with a picture of Idun , which was one of Sweden's first women's magazines and was founded in 1887. The magazine was started with the aim of being a "practical weekly magazine for women and the home". The magazine contained tips such as how to best cook or sew. The newspaper gradually developed to include more elements of reportage, fashion and political debate.

In the autumn of 1921, the first parliamentary election took place in which women were both entitled to vote and eligible. The front page from Idun in 1922 shows the first five women elected to Sweden's Riksdag: Elisabeth Tamm, Nelly Thüring, Bertha Wellin, Kerstin Hesselgren and Agda Östlund. For those who want to learn more about these five strong and highly inspiring women, we recommend the documentary which is now available on SVT Play .
