Poster with a beautiful painting of everyday life in Paris in 1882. The painting was created by the French artist Jean Béraud, whose signature can be seen at the bottom of the picture.
In the 1870s, Béraud appeared with Parisian interiors of striking local fidelity and with images from cafes, theater salons, market halls, ballrooms, public meetings and from police premises.
The motif of the painting is the street Rue du Havre in Paris. Rue du Havre was built in 1837 with the desire to facilitate traffic around the pier of the railways of Saint-Germain, Versailles and Rouen.
