Poster with a beautiful illustration from Elsa Beskow's children's book "Pelle's New Clothes" which was first published in 1907.

The picture shows an elderly woman, probably a grandmother, standing outside a red hen house welcoming a child. She stands ready with a bowl to receive what the child brings, a cord of wool. Around them, hens and chickens run on the ground.

Pelle's new clothes is a classic children's book about Pelle, a little boy who dreams of getting new clothes and goes through a learning experience.

Elsa Beskow (1874–1953) was a Swedish writer and illustrator who became one of the country's most influential picture book creators. Beskow was known for his warm depictions of children, home and nature. She often illustrated her own texts and her visual world has a strong connection to everyday environments and romantic nature.
