Poster featuring the beautiful painting Pilven Veikko's Poem by Albert Edelfelt from 1897. The painting depicts a dramatic landscape with dark, bare trees and a lone bird flying at the top of the painting.
The Finnish poet Johan Ludvig Runeberg wrote a poem about a wanderer named 'Cloud's Brother' (in Finnish: Pilven veikko ), a hero who settled in the house of Metsä-Poranen .
Albert Edelfelt was a Finnish-Swedish painter and illustrator. As a 19-year-old, Edelfelt went to Antwerp in 1873 to study history painting. He then continued his painting studies in Paris, where in 1800 he received, among other things, a medal for the painting Ett barns likfärd (1879). Albert Edelfelt was one of the first Finnish artists to achieve international fame.
