Poster with a beautiful painting created in 1874 by Auguste Renoir - a historically famous French artist. The painting is called Regatta at Argenteuil , which describes the subject of a boat race in the commune of Argenteuil in Paris. In the picture we see, among other things, white sails and people who can conceivably act as an audience.
In the years 1860-1861, Renoir studied art in Charles Gleyre's studio and in 1862 he started at the École des Beaux-Arts art school. At school he got to know Claude Monet, Frédéric Bazille and Alfred Sisley.
Auguste Renoir is counted among the foremost Impressionists. He is known for his motifs of young women, children, flowers and landscapes. From 1864 he received permission to paint copies of the paintings that were in the Louvre in Paris.
