When Painting Changed a Town
The scene was based on Gullikstad outside Røros, where Harald Sohlberg moved with his wife Lilli in 1902. His images of the mountain town attracted so much attention that they later helped bring about the restoration of Røros closer to its older appearance—an unusual afterlife for a body of paintings.

Harald Sohlberg was a Norwegian neo-romantic artist. In the picture we see a meadow with white flowers on a beautiful summer evening. In the evening sky we see a full moon shining palely over the Norwegian landscape.

If you order from Norway, your order will be delivered with Fedex; to Sweden and the rest of the world with DHL. Your package is normally delivered to your nearest pickup point!
