The story behind the motif
Poster with a vintage nude illustration by none other than the famous sculptor Auguste Rodin (1840-1917). The motif is called Caresse: moi danc, chéri, French for Smeka: I dance, darling. The original is at the Cleveland Museum of Art.
Auguste Rodin was a French sculptor, draftsman and photographer . He is widely regarded as the father of modern sculpture. Rodin's The Thinker is one of his most famous sculptures.
