The story behind the motif
Funkisbilen Venus Bilo designed for Volvo by Gustaf LM Ericsson. In 1933, the Venus Bilo was Sweden's most talked about car. The car had a standard chassis, but was otherwise unlike anything else that had previously driven on Swedish roads. The Venus Bilo had a streamlined body and stood out from earlier Swedish cars in its interior and exterior.
