The story behind the motif

The miner and carpenter Lars Erik Pettersson, born in 1858 in Västmanland, photographed by the famous photographer, organ researcher and doctor Einar Erici.

Large parts of Einar Erici's attention-grabbing photo collections show various workers and officials in old Sweden, usually older men with beards.
