The story behind the motif

Poster with a preparedness poster from 1941, created by the Swedish artist Karin Ageman (1899-1950).

During the Second World War, elaborate half-yearly reports were published concerning Sweden's handling of the current war. They began with a volume which was printed in 1941 under the title: The State Powers and the People's Economy During the Crisis That Became a Result of the Great Power War in 1939, Part I.
