The story behind the motif

 

Posts with a fantastic oileel off The Port of Gothenburg in 1918. The beautiful painting has a high level of detail with ships and vessels at sea and the Port of Gothenburg in the background.

The painting is painted by the beloved marine artist Jacob Hägg who was also a Swedish naval officer. He is known for his classic motifs of the West Coast with ships at sea.
