The story behind the motif

Canvas with an atmospheric painting by Carl Johan Billmark from the 1850s. The motif shows the prison tower at Gripsholm Castle. To the left among the trees we see a man and woman walking together in the evening twilight.

Gripsholm Castle is a royal castle by Mälaren, just outside Mariefred's old town center in Strängnäs municipality. The castle has an eventful and long history that can be traced as far back as the 14th century.

If you order from Norway, your order will be delivered with Fedex; to Sweden and the rest of the world with DHL. Your package is normally delivered to your nearest pickup point!
