The story behind the motif

 

Poster with a beautiful painting from 1680. The painting is created by the Swedish nobleman and artist David Klöcker Ehrenstrahl. The work is a portrait of Charles XI's life horse Brilliant. 

Klöcker Ehrenstrahl has received the honorary name The father of Swedish painting and is known for the statement: “Art presents riddles that could not be solved by everyone".
