The story behind the motif
A beautiful drawing of Korsö lighthouse, Sandhamn, from 1847. On the picture we see the text: " Detail Drawing of the upper part of Korsö Rotating Mirror Lighthouse as it is now after reconstruction in 1847. "

On the right of the picture it is also written that the Original drawing was damaged by moisture at the Jubilee exhibition in Gothenburg 1923. Copied by Hilmer Carlsson in 1924. At the bottom right we see that the original sketch was completed in Stockholm, January 1848.
