The story behind the motif
Poster with a unique photograph of Kungsgatan, Stockholm in 1945 where ballet girls practice before participating in Blåjackor .
The picture was included in a report that was published in the newspaper Filmjournalen that same year. Ballet master Albert Gaubier, seen at the front of the picture, is the one who selected a troupe of talented ballet dancers to appear in the film Blue Jackets . The place chosen to train the squad is cinema Rigoletto's roof on Kungsgatan.
In addition to Albert Gaubier, we also see the composer Louis Laitaj at the piano and the ballet dancers who usually worked in Gustaf Wally's revue and at the China Theater. Some of the ballet dancers are Mary Thour (elected Miss China), May Sandart (solo dancer with Gustaf Wally), Ulla Hodell, Jytte Madsen, Alice Wallis and Cecile Ossbahr.
