The story behind the motif
Poster with a photograph of Lilla Bommen in Gothenburg. The picture was taken in 1910 and has a nice richness of detail.
The photo was taken with a view of St. Eriks torg 5 and Östra Hamngatan 1 to the north with Lilla Bommens harbor. On the right we see the steamship company Motala Ström and the Göta canal company's Juno . In the middle of the picture you can see the Hisings Bridge and the Löfströmska Cold Bath House, and in the background is Hisingen.
The photo was taken by Olga Rinman who was a Swedish photographer. Olga Rinman's photography business was registered in Gothenburg on October 1, 1893. Rinman wrote in the application that her husband, sea captain Knut Ragnar Rinman, had abandoned her and the children and that she now wanted to open a photography business in order to support herself and her three daughters.
Frame not included.
