The story behind the motif

Poster with a poster for the event Musikfästen in Uppsala . The event was held on May 5 and 6 in 1911.

In the picture we see a beautiful illustration of a man who exudes a medieval feeling, playing a trumpet. The artist of the illustration is Olof Thunman, a Swedish painter, draftsman and poet. We see Thunman's signature at the bottom of the picture.
