The story behind the motif
Poster with an artistic image of Ellen Rasch (1920-2015) who was a Swedish dancer, ballet teacher and actor. The photo was taken in Paris where we see Rasch balancing on the toes of one foot, while she is reading a book in a bookseller's shop.
The picture was published as part of a picture reportage from Paris in Filmjournalen in 1952. The article presented the news that she would play the lead role in the film Eldfågeln with the Swedish premiere on August 12, 1952.
