The story behind the motif

Poster with the motif of Traveling at the National Border in 1956. During the 1950s, trains played a central role at the National Border, as one of the most important means of transport to reach this remote destination. Riksgränsen's station building functioned as a central hub for rail traffic in the area, which enabled trips to and from the mountain station. The trains offered a convenient and reliable means of transport for both locals and tourists who wanted to explore the mountain world.
