The story behind the motif
Poster with a drawing for a plot on Riddargatan in Stockholm, 1805 by Carl Schenbeck. Schenbeck was a prominent Swedish architect during the neoclassical period, and this project is an example of his work that was influenced by the ideals of neoclassicism and the Empire.
The house that Schenbeck designed partially remains, but it has undergone major changes over time. Despite the changes, the building is still part of Stockholm's architectural history and an example of the style that characterized the city's cityscape during the early 19th century.
Frame not included.
