The story behind the motif

Poster with a picture from one Speedway competition in the 1970s. A speedway rider for the Wasps lies in a curve on the track and the stubble sprays from the rear wheel.

Speedway has existed as a sport in Sweden for over 70 years and the first world championship was run in England in 1936 at Wembley in London.

Sweden has always been successful in speedway where stars like Tony Rickardsson have reaped several international successes.
