The story behind the motif
Poster with an illustrated poster advertising Stora Bryggeriets Öl, 1895. In the picture we see a man sitting with a beer glass and the text: " Stora bryggeriets öl is best" .

The poster's artist Caleb Althin was a Swedish painter, graphic artist and drawing teacher. In addition to his illustrations, he has also done decorative work in Uppsala Cathedral, on the altarpiece in Sollefteå church and in Örebro, Härnösand and Sundsvall churches.
