The story behind the motif

Poster with motif of Mars tin foundry. Juteriet var baserat i Stockholm och en av Sveriges främsta tillverkare av tennfigurer. Founded in 1915, it became known for its exceptional quality. In its heyday in the 1930s, tin soldiers and other tin figures were popular toys. Although the toys have changed over time, the interest in collecting these figures has remained. The image shows a printed version of the company's name and its symbol, the god of war Mars.
