The story behind the motif
Poster with an old picture of a milkman distributing milk in glass bottles with the Milk Center's truck in 1956. In the past, it was necessary for milk to be delivered to homes on a daily basis, as poor opportunities for refrigeration meant that it was quickly wasted. As modern refrigerators became more common in households, milk deliveries became increasingly rare.
In the early 1950s, 90 percent of all milk sold was packaged in glass bottles.
