A classic poster illustrated by Elsa Beskow from Saga of the year in 1927 with the motif December.

Story of the year is a classic picture book by Elsa Beskow from 1927 that deals with the seasons with rhyming text and detailed illustrations. The book depicts how the year passes in home and nature, with verses describing each month, for example "January starts the year, February comes next, March, April has a bud in the hair". It is one of Beskow's best-known books and a popular read-aloud book for children.

The text of the month December reads: Now it's Christmas again, yes soon it's Christmas again, and then no one can be gloomy. See the white flakes fall on fir and birch and pine, they help us get nice for Christmas. Now the sled is pulled out and wiped clean of dust, and the ski is tightened tightly around the foot. The summer was probably good, but the snow is good to have, come out and help us receive it. We get up early and offer Lucia a saffron dip with candles in her hair. Then preparations are made in every kitchen and there is chaos everywhere from the king's castle to the pig's pen. And everyone should have so many claps, and therefore we are in a terrible hurry. Because now it's Christmas again, yes now it's Christmas again, and Christmas lasts until Easter.

Elsa Beskow's fairy tales and illustrations have become classics in Swedish children's literature. She is one of Sweden's most beloved authors and illustrators of all time.

The delivery time is normally 1-3 working days within the Nordic region, 2-5 to the rest of Europe and 3-8 working days in other parts of the world. As for canvas paintings, we make them by hand in our factory in Sweden.
